Unaccompanied Minors

Unaccompanied Minors:

At Arkia we takes every step to ensure that your child's travel is safe and comfortable. Children between the ages of 5 and under 16 years who will be traveling alone on our domestic and international flights are considered unaccompanied minors.

Throughout the journey, from the time that you say goodbye to them at the start of their journey to the time they are collected by family or friends at the destination airport, your child is always under someone's care. Your child will receive our flight crew's special and devoted care in order to guarantee your peace of mind.

On international flights, this service is provided for an additional charge and is subject to the rates valid on the date of departure (if the child departs and returns on Arkia from Ben Gurion airport, the charge for both flights will be collected in advance at Ben Gurion airport). The rate for two unaccompanied minors from the same family is identical to that of a single child.

International flight laws limit the number of unaccompanied minors per flight. Therefore, you must request this service while booking your flight and special confirmation must be received.

While checking in at the airport, you will be required to complete an Unaccompanied Minor form, including full contact details of the persons meeting the child at his destination. The ground crew will escort your child to the aircraft where he will be met by the cabin crew. You are requested to remain at the airport until the aircraft departs and receive confirmation from our shift manager. When the aircraft arrives at its destination, an Arkia attendant will escort your child to the persons waiting from him.
